AlorAir Sentinel HD90 Drain Hose and Duct Sizes: Don’t Mix Them Up
The AlorAir Sentinel HD90 uses a gravity drain, and its drain tube is not the same thing as its air ducting. That sounds obvious, but AlorAir’s own support thread about the HD90 briefly mixed the two up before clarifying the answer.

There is an important documentation conflict here. In a July 2025 support answer, AlorAir gave the drain tube as approximately 14 × 18 mm but did not label inner versus outer diameter. In an older 2019 Q&A on the HD90 product page, AlorAir instead answered 10 mm inside diameter and 16 mm outside diameter. Because the manufacturer has published two different answers, we would not order replacement tubing from either number alone without measuring the connection on the actual unit.
Why the Numbers Are Easy to Confuse
In a July 2025 AlorAir community question, a customer asked for the HD90 drain-tube size. The first manufacturer reply supplied a 12-inch inlet-duct size and a 6-inch outlet-duct size instead. After the customer clarified that he meant the drain tube, AlorAir replied that the included tube is 1.3 feet (40 cm) long and approximately 14 × 18 mm. That newer answer conflicts with a 2019 manufacturer Q&A that listed the hose at 10 mm ID and 16 mm OD.
That makes the distinction useful to spell out:
- The drain tube carries condensed water away from the dehumidifier.
- The 12-inch inlet and 6-inch outlet are for moving air through ductwork.
What AlorAir Currently Lists for the HD90
The current HD90 product information lists the unit at 90 pints per day under AHAM conditions, up to 2,600 square feet, 210 CFM airflow, gravity drainage, and a 23.2 × 15.2 × 17.7-inch cabinet.
AlorAir also currently sells a 6-inch outlet duct and explicitly lists the Sentinel HD90 among the compatible models. That independently supports the 6-inch outlet figure.
If You Are Replacing the Drain Tube
Measure the tube and connection on your actual unit before ordering generic replacement tubing, especially because the manufacturer’s 14 × 18 mm notation does not label inner versus outer diameter. If a replacement must fit a barb or drain fitting precisely, that difference matters.
Bottom Line
For the Sentinel HD90, the air-side dimensions are much clearer: 12-inch inlet / 6-inch outlet. For the water drain, AlorAir has published conflicting tubing dimensions, so measure your unit before buying replacement hose.
