Fosi BT20A Pro 32V vs 48V Power Supply: What Changes?

See all Fosi BT20A Pro compatibility questions

Short answer: the BT20A Pro accepts 24–48V DC. Fosi offers 32V 5A and 48V 5A supplies. The 48V supply gives the amplifier more electrical headroom; it does not magically make every speaker need or use the amp’s headline maximum wattage.

Why voltage changes available output

An amplifier cannot deliver more output voltage to the speakers than its power supply allows. Raising the supply from 32V to 48V increases the ceiling available to the amplifier, particularly into lower-impedance loads and at higher output levels.

Do you need 48V for normal desktop listening?

Not necessarily. Speaker sensitivity, listening distance, room size, and how loudly you listen matter more than the marketing wattage. Efficient speakers at close range may use surprisingly little average power.

What does Fosi officially support?

Fosi lists the BT20A Pro with a DC input range of 24–48V and offers both 32V 5A and 48V 5A power supplies. Fosi also sells a 48V 5A GaN supply specifically compatible with the BT20A Pro.
