AlorAir rates the Sentinel HDi65S condensate pump for up to 19.6 feet of lift. The manufacturer also lists a 6.5-foot gravity-drain hose as the non-pump option.
That 19.6-foot figure is the important number if your drain point is higher than the dehumidifier or the unit sits in a crawl space where gravity drainage is not practical.

What “19.6 Feet of Lift” Means
The useful interpretation is vertical rise. If the drain destination is above the dehumidifier, the pump has to overcome that elevation difference.
It does not mean every installation with a total hose run of 19.6 feet is automatically acceptable. Horizontal distance, hose routing, kinks, restrictions, fittings, and the final discharge arrangement can all matter. The manufacturer’s published number gives you the pump’s rated lift, not a guarantee for every improvised drain layout.
If your drain is below the unit and you have a continuous downhill route, gravity drainage is usually the simpler arrangement. The HDi65S supports both approaches.
When the Built-In Pump Matters
A pump matters most when the dehumidifier is below the nearest practical drain. Common examples include a crawl space with no convenient floor drain, a basement where the discharge has to rise before reaching a sink or drain, or an installation where a continuous gravity slope cannot be maintained.
If you already have an easy downhill path to a drain, the pump may be less important to your buying decision.
