Short answer: No. The Breville Oracle Jet includes an integrated grinder using Baratza European precision burrs, with 45 grind settings.
It also automates grinding, dosing and tamping directly into the machine’s 58mm portafilter. You can buy a separate grinder if you want a different workflow or more specialized burrs, but you do not need one to use the Oracle Jet as designed.
What the Built-In Grinder Actually Does
The Oracle Jet does more than simply grind beans into a basket. Breville pairs the grinder with automatic dosing and tamping. Barista Guidance then looks for signs of over- or under-extraction and prompts grind-size adjustments.
Who Might Still Want a Separate Grinder?
