AlorAir Dehumidifier Questions Answered by Model

AlorAir sells several dehumidifiers that look similar on a product grid but differ in ways that matter during installation: pump drainage, gravity drainage, electrical requirements, Wi-Fi control, ducting, coverage, and what happens after a power failure.

This section is built around those exact questions rather than broad “best dehumidifier” rankings. Each answer is checked against current AlorAir product information, specification sheets, manuals, or manufacturer Q&A. When a detail is unclear or conflicting, we do not guess.

Sentinel HDi65S

The Sentinel HDi65S is a compact crawl-space and basement dehumidifier with both pump and gravity-drain options. AlorAir currently lists it at 55 pints per day under AHAM conditions, up to 1,300 square feet, with a 19.6-foot pump-drain rating.

Sentinel HD55S Wi-Fi

The HD55S Wi-Fi model uses gravity drainage and adds app-based monitoring and control. One especially useful distinction: AlorAir says there is no official API for controlling the unit with scripts or third-party software.

Sentinel WHD 120

The WHD 120 is a ducted whole-house model rated by AlorAir for up to 3,000 square feet, 104 pints per day at AHAM conditions, and 85 pints per day under DOE whole-house conditions. Duct size and airflow layout matter much more here than they do on a stand-alone crawl-space unit.

Sentinel HD55 / HD55S / HDi65S

These compact crawl-space models are close enough in size and capacity that the more important differences are often drainage and connectivity rather than headline pint ratings.

Sentinel HD90

The HD90 uses gravity drainage and supports ducted installations. AlorAir has published conflicting drain-tube dimensions for this model, which makes replacement-hose shopping more confusing than it should be.

Why These Pages Are Narrow

A lot of product pages give you a specification table and leave you to decide what the numbers mean. These guides take one concrete buying or installation question at a time and answer it from the documentation.

That means we may not have an article for every AlorAir model or every possible question. We add pages when the available information supports a useful, specific answer.
